Ranking Structure in Order of Authority
RCT
The true starting point of any Civil Protection officer, RCTs are the lowest ranking unit in the force. They are in the process of learning the ropes and memorizing protocol.
i4
Next highest in the chain of command is the i4 rank. Only slightly more advanced, these units are still learning, though now are able to choose a division and study to further themselves within it.
i3
This rank is higher now, and by this point the units within are expected to have a fundamental knowledge of all protocols and restrictions. They are, by this point, thoroughly trained with the Guide and their division's required training.
i2
This rank is a slight advancement from the prior in their field.

This rank is a slight advancement from the prior in their field, and is the minimal rank required to request entry to a RAZOR elite protection squad.
LT - Lieutenant
A Division Lieutenant is the starting point and the lowest of the High-Command structure; these units are expected to have thorough knowledge of their base protocols and divisional standards.
CpT - Captain

ULTIMATELY, THE DIVISION PLACEMENT OF AN i4 IS UP TO THE HEAD TRAINING COORDINATOR AND HIS UNITS. THE DIVISIONS, HOW TO BE PLACED WITHIN, AND THE BRANCHES ARE AS FOLLOWS. THE UU BRANCHES ARE IN ORDER OF AUTHORITY.
SHADOW
SHADOW exists as the division that handles all defensive sociostability maintenance, including but not limited to Patrols, Detainments, Interrogations, and Amputations. They are highly respected for their immense knowledge of all Ground Unit protocol, and expected to behave with near perfection constantly. These units are regulated to only patrol the outside of the Nexus, and are always responsible for clamping the checkpoints and hardpoints of the city; however, if there are no units patrolling, the patrol takes priority over the clamping.
To become a serviced member of the SHAODW division, you must speak to the Division Captain or the City Commander in place as well as show exemplary performance and understanding of protocol to the HTC.
APEX
APEX units are the engineering division, specializing in repairs and construction of CP equipment. They primarily remain within the confines of the Nexus, unless needed for external repairs or APC deployment during Code RED or beyond. They are expected to have a fundamental understanding of how UU equipment works by the rank of 03. Though they primarily take orders from their Division Leader, they may be respectfully ordered to complete tasks by any higher ranking unit. These units are never responsible for the clamping of checkpoints or hardpoints.
To become a member of the APEX division, you must acquire permission from the Division Captain or City Commander as well as prove your technological prowess to the HTC.

SHIELD is the Medical division, specializing in everything from administering pain medication to field surgery. This division is required to have fundamental knowledge of all protocol and equipment usage by the rank of 03, as they need to be prepared and knowledgeable in the field if needed. They have their choice of either patrolling the Nexus itself or the outer areas, but are never responsible for the Clamping of checkpoints or hardpoints.
To become a part of SHIELD, you must pass a series of medical exams and training exercises, as well as acquire permission from the Division Captain or City Commander and HTC.
RAZOR ELITE PROTECTION TEAMS
The RAZOR EPTs are a branch of the CPF, specializing in all counter-resistance deployments. From sweeping the slums to crawling through the muck of the sewers, these units are trained constantly and to perfection by rank of i3. This division is heavily supervised, and any who are incapable of handling specialist assignments are trimmed out. RAZOR units are only commanded by the squad Captain, the City Commander, and the City Sociostability Commander. These units may be ordered to clamp checkpoints or hardpoints during code YELLOW and above, though only by the RAZOR CpT and higher. They have their choice of patrolling the inside or outside of Nexus, but are preferred to patrol the inner corridors.

TCU's, aside from the HTC, hold no authority outside of the training bay - however, let it be known that they may order any unit at any time to report to the training bay. Note: Training exercises are permissible if in a pre-approved location and with HTC and CSC approval.

There are only three per precinct in a city, and are relatively hard to attain the position of - requiring APEX and RAZOR experience. These units primarily remain in the Nexus, though may patrol if they so choose. They carry an emplacement turret with them wherever they go, allowing them to deploy it when needed.

FAMILY COHESION & MEMORY REPLACEMENT
As a member of the Civil Protection force, your family is given higher standards to live by and more rations than others.
If you are found to be rogue at any point, every living relative is immediately amputated, regardless of relation.
Spouse, if applicable, will be held and tortured for information.
When the unit in question reaches the rank of i3, they are given the option to have memory replacement issued. Their mind is essentially wiped of all humanity, and they have no memory of pre-war activity nor their family. If they opt in, they are issued additional equipment as per their inability to go rogue, however if they opt out they are still expected to wait for the proper rank to have advanced equipment.
